Friendly Duel | Shadow versus Daichi

Location: Nanimori Mountains
Battlefield: Rocky

It was early in the morning with the bright sun shining down on where Shadow stood. He was waiting for Daichi to arrive at the Nanimori mountain where they would have their duel as scheduled. Shadow wanted to have a friendly duel against Daichi without holding anything back even against an ally. It was around 9 in the morning and the wind was breezy as ever on top of the mountain. Shadow waited patiently while whipping out the dirt on his handgun. He had recently bought 3 cartilages just for the duel with Daichi.

The wind brew strong as he walked up the side of Namimori mountain. The boss, Shadow wanted to have a duel with him with out holding anything back. Daichi as usual didn't care much for things like this but a good fight was always worth something in the end. As he approached the place where he was supposed to meet the Boss he yawned. Walking through a few trees that where on the rocky terrain he looked at shadow from a distance stopping. "You ready?" He asked from a distance looking at Shadow as he lit the flame of his ring and took out a box.

Shadow turned around to see Dachi arriving with his box weapons out and his ring lit. He was already ready to go so Shadow had to get ready too. "Bring it on!" Shadow replied to Daichi's ready call. Shadow loaded his gun and walked to the center of the clearing.

Walking to the center he had a slight grin on his face as he lit the flame of his ring bright showing his progression and skill with his cloud flame. "Boss, the fact is your not very good at using your flame yet right?" Daichi said with a questionable look as he signaled for Shadow to make the first move. Looking at Shadow he stayed still waiting to see for what he would do.

Shadow started to grit his teeth as soon as he heard those words coming out of Daichi's mouth, but calmed down and said, "Oh, you got me there!" With the wind blowing against his hair, Shadow brought his handgun into the air and aimed it at Daichi. "I might not need that to defeat you Daichi" stated Shadow full of confidence.

"Shoot me then. If you can..." He said as he suddenly opened the box in his hand. What came out of the box was not a handgun as what may have been expected but a shield. Daichi smirked as he kicked the shield at shadow pouring the power of the cloud flame into it. It began to grow larger as it went faster and draw closer to Shadow. Using this chance Daichi disappeared out of sight behind a nearby tree and a few rocks. The shield was already near 4 times its original size by the time it reached Shadow. It was only a few feet away from shadow with its now greater radius it was sure to hit or at least hide Daichi's presence as a distraction.

Shadow was certainly surprised at the shield that came out of Daichi's box as he hadn't known that Daichi had one at all. He didn't have any other way to escape the shield except for him to jump either to his right side where it was clear and nothing in his way or to his left where there were a few boulders stacked together. He jumped left as he thought that Daichi would probably appear from the right where it was clear. Shadow hid behind one of the medium sized boulders in order to locate Daichi as he had definitely moved to a closer position.

He's moved... He thought as he shrunk the shield but lower the amount of cloud flame used to power it bringing it into the air. Peeking out from behind the boulders he noticed Shadow wasn't in the more open area. With this he sent the shield in the direction of some boulders but kept his position behind the large rock. Feeding the shield flames once again it began to grow, but the speed of its growth had increased. "This is what we cloud users call... Propagation." Daichi said grinning as he moved behind a tree as to hide his location since he had just spoken.

As Shadow was peeping out to see where Daichi had hidden, he heard his voice coming about right in front of him but he doubted that this was an accident as Daichi was never a person to let accidents occur. Daichi was a careful person who'd do anything to get what should be done, done. Shadow thought of a way to make sure by taking out his hunting knife and throwing it right through his boulder and the one behind that too. Somehow, no one was there and Shadow was sure that it was a trap set out for him. How naive thought Shadow as he jumped a whole meter back into the trees that stood behind him. Shadow was sure that Daichi too was somewhere in the forest but couldn't locate where. He sure is smart thought Shadow as he grit his teeth thinking that there might be another trap somewhere.

I'll send the shield toward the boulders now... Daichi thought as he collected his thoughts. The shield was 5 times larger then its original size so it would take out a medium sized area hopefully wiping out all the boulders. With where the shield was positioned it was to far away from Daichi for his position to be found out, but to be safe Daichi moved further back behind some other trees as he sent the shield at the boulders. There was a loud crash from the boulders as they were destroyed but no one was there. Opening the box to his hunting knife he smiled. Focusing his cloud flame's Propagation abilities on the blade of the hunting knife it began extending. Once it was at sword length Daichi threw it in a way that it would spin in the way a helicopter's blades spin. It would cut down the trees and hopefully anything behind them as Daichi once again changed positions.

Shadow was still not sure where Daichi was at, but as soon the humongous shield came flying at the boulders, he knew right away from which direction it came. As Shadow began heading towards in the direction it came from, Shadow heard a whizzing sound of an object heading right towards him. Shadow ducked immediately in order to dodge the object rushing towards him which happened to be a hunting knife that was spinning at a fast pace. Shadow put his head up only to find out half of the path cut down and still not sure of where Daichi was at. To make sure that Daichi hadn't picked up where he was, Shadow crawled his way into a crowded area with many trees covering Shadow and not letting him be seen by anyone. Shadow had also had a cut on his knee because of his immediate dodge from the hunting knife. It wasn't that big of a deal when in a battle though. Shadow then shut his eyes and concentrated on hearing any sound of movement from the are close by to locate Daichi.

Alright now I reveal myself and keep the shield ready to attack when he shows himself to attack me... Daichi walked out into the open looking around for Shadow. Without hesitation he also called the sword back with his cloud flames to the rest of the trees near where the other ones were so that there was a more clear and open battle field.

Shadow sensed Daichi and opened his eyes to look out and see what he was doing. No amateur mafioso could tell that Daichi was plotting something but Shadow could. He knew at once that this had something to do what that shield. "That shield is giving me a headache, I need to find a way to get rid of it soon" thought Shadow before thinking of a plan of attack. Shadow couldn't come up with anything so all he could do was attack without one and that's what he did. Rushing out without a plan might have been a bad call but sitting around wasn't going to get anyone anywhere either. Shadow took out his hand knife and slashed it like a sword on the direction of Daichi when a projectile of sky flames came gushing out of the knife and towards Daichi.

"Going at me like this won't help you..." He said as the shield flew at Shadow and Daichi jumped back. Lighting his ring he opened the box that held his hand gun. Watching as things slowed for him time went slower in Daichi's mind when he was processing what to do next and the current status of his enemy. As he watched the shield his enemy's swing and his jump back he looked a bit more sly a confident then the second before. If Shadow dodged or blocked the shield the hunting knife which was at sword length would pierce through him as it flew guided by Daichi's mind and control over his flame.

Shadow's slash from his hunting knife changed the direction of the shield. Thankfully, It landed just across him causing a cloud of dust to start floating around him. Shadow took out his handgun and shot a bullet straight through the cloud of dust not knowing where Daichi stood.

Through the cloud of smoke a bullet flew out and burned some of his hairs as it rushed past. Looking half surprised and half completely shocked at how close the bullet was to hitting he opened the box to his hand gun and fired 3 shots through the cloud of dust then reloading his gun taking out the old cartilage and slipping in a new one. "I'll be lucky if that hits..." Daichi whispered as he looked at the fading dust cloud jumping back and running behind the trees gun in hand.

Shadow had jumped to his left and then backwards right after he had shot his first bullet, but as soon as he heard his bullet being brushed past something, another three bullets came flying towards where he was standing. The shot was way off but he was sure that this might have been a trap that Daichi had thought of thoroughly.

As he analyzed the current situation he found that it would be better to move through the side now, but first he would have to move the shield. Bringing the shield up into the air he sent to flying to the center of the dust cloud running to the left side where the hunting knife was angled and flying towards the dust cloud as well. From the side Daichi stood and watched at the ready. "How long are we gonna play hide and seek Shadow!" He yelled as he moved from his position to the trees that lay next to the destroyed open area to hide his presence.

When Daichi had started to move, Shadow heard his leg stepping on a twig and knew right away where Daichi was, but Shadow had to figure out a way so that the shield wouldn't play a part for Daichi anymore. Shadow shot a bullet straight towards where he had heard the twig and another angled possibly to where he would've hidden. He added the sun flames so that it will make stone of whatever the bullet touches. Shadow then moved towards to the shield that lay on the ground and pierced his hand knife with the help of his sky flames not allowing it to be able to help Daichi anymore. Shadow then hid his presence behind the big shield where Daichi would least expect him to be.

Huh!? It won't budge... He thought as the dust cleared the shield not moving from its spot. Increasing the level of propagation the shield continued to grow in size as he pushed on the shield more trying to make it move. It began to slowly tip over about to fall back on its self. As it fell Daichi looked around for Shadow unsure of his current location jumping away from the trees to the open area and moving over to so rocks.

Shadow's location still unclear, he jumped to the direction that Daichi had gone. Shadow wanted to end things quickly but with Daichi as his opponent, it was no easy task. Shadow decided to settle things in a hand-to-hand combat since weapons would drag the battle too long.

Daichi walked out into the clearing with a look of disappointment as he began to get bored with a battle that continued to drag on. With a smile on his face he began making preparations to end this fight that had lasted so long. Only a hint of doubt showed in Daichi as he prepared to fight shadow.

As Shadow ran forward, Daichi had stepped out into the opening. Shadow rushed forward and threw a right punch straight towards Daichi's abdomen. Shadow also prepared to jump back in case Daichi had dodged the easy punch he threw.

As he walked out into the opening a impatient shadow stormed toward him throwing a punch. The fist flew at him during the seconds it was approaching his body he caught it pulling it back then throwing a punch and aiming it for Shadow's temple. His fist was infused with the cloud flames making his nails longer as he opened his hand and made the paper sign now from rock paper sciccors. Then changing from a fist ready to punch to a weapon meant for cutting about to slash into the skin. The hand went down aiming for the shoulder trying to get a good cut that wouldn't put shadow in any serious danger, but at the same time disable his movements. At least with his arms.

With Shadow's arm being pulled in by Daichi, there was no way out from being cut by his sharp nails. To reduce the damage caused, Shadow used his sky flames and touched his sharp and tall nails to stone making them not as sharp as it was and reducing the impact damage. It still cut him causing a little blood that was deep red to come gushing out. Shadow grit his teeth trying to get used to the sting, pulled his hands back and got ready for another attack. Shadow then ran forward yet again, and kicked his right foot towards Daichi's chin which would cause him to fly back.
